Gföllner and INNIO launch joint venture IGPS – Production of modular energy systems in the USA
Sankt Georgen bei Grieskirchen / Trenton (NJ) – Gföllner Fahrzeugbau und Containertechnik GmbH and the Innio Group have officially established a joint venture, IGPS – INNIO Gfoellner Power Systems LLC. The aim of this partnership is to develop and manufacture modular energy systems based on INNIO's Jenbacher engine technology and Gföllner's technical container solutions – directly on site in the USA.
New standards for decentralized energy solutions
The new IGPS site in Trenton, New Jersey, is expected to produce over one gigawatt of system output annually starting in 2028. The modular energy modules are characterized by high efficiency, compact design, and high flexibility in use – ideal for the requirements of a dynamic energy market.
Innovation and growth
The establishment of the new production line will create over 200 new jobs in the region. At the same time, both partners will strengthen their presence in the US market. The vision: reliable, scalable energy supply for applications in industry, data centers, infrastructure, and emergency power supply.
Technological strength from Austria meets US market potential
Gföllner brings decades of experience in the construction of high-quality, customized container solutions to the joint venture. Combined with the highly efficient Jenbacher gas engines, this results in powerful energy modules.
